We chose to make a video guide on how to choose your Kamloops brewery! We considered the atmosphere, size, location, and menu. Our group visited three popular breweries in Kamloops.
Iron Road Brewing:
Located across from Thompson Rivers University, Iron Road Brewery is a very exciting place because it is filled with young adults and has a very positive outgoing atmosphere. Majority of the people that tend to visit this brewery are university students although all are welcome and encouraged to try their many different types of beer. They have a good assortment of finger food as well as a snack menu at affordable prices. Also, inside their pub is quite aesthetically pleasing with an industrial theme and because of the many trademark items including a special flight tray. The beer is unbelievably tasty and there is a good variety to choose from that with have your tastebuds tantalized. We had a great time in this busy brewery.
Red Collar Brewing Company:
Located in downtown Kamloops, the Red Collar Brewery offers a really special pub experience. The positive energy creates an earthy, vintage, alternative, and indie atmosphere. The ages of the guests ranged from young adult to more mature adults. It is decorated to feel homey, cozy, comfy, and even cottage-like. The board games and cards available adds an extra bit of fun to the experience. This is also the only brewpub to allow guests to bring their dogs in which is awesome for dog owners. We felt like we could relax the most there, and we weren’t being rushed out by the staff. A very unique feature of this pub is that the bartender was willing to keep the pub open after hours just because it was still busy. The large open spaces make this location the perfect place to bring all of your friends or large groups of people. Awesome place to hang out with people, and actually get to have and hear conversations.
The Noble Pig:
Located in downtown Kamloops, the Noble Pig allows guests to enjoy a full meal as well as craft-brewed beer. The Noble Pig offers an atmosphere and a large menu to allow families to enjoy their night out together. Their vast menu offers a range of choices for both adults and children to enjoy. Compared to Red Collar and Iron Roads, The Noble Pig suits a family environment more but that does not mean that couples or a group of friends would not enjoy their time here as well. Their wide range of “Craft brewed Noble beers” come at an affordable price and compete with Iron Roads flight option in price and choice. Their list of craft brews on tap rotate frequently and all current lists are updated on their social media in order to notify their guests ahead of time. Having a choice between sitting at the restaurant side or pub side really gives the guests full control of their experience.
Travel Media Vlog:
Conclusion:
In conclusion, we went to the Noble Pig, Red Collar, and Iron Road Brewery. We liked different aspects from each brewery and had unique and intriguing experiences at each of them. We found Red Collar to have great drinks and a wonderful vibe, which suits a more Indie and mature crowd. Iron Road is good for college students who appreciate cheap prices on alcohol and quick eats. We thought the Noble Pig to be the best out of the three breweries because of its extensive gourmet food menu. There is a bar, pub, and restaurant all in one. This makes it family and children friendly while still attracting couples, singles, and groups. The food was the best at Noble Pig, but it also offered a large selection of unique beverages to choose from. Noble Pig staff are extremely friendly and helpful, wanting you to enjoy your time to the fullest.
