Introduction

Do you like to visit some places to chill out with your friends or your family? Do you like cold weather or some winter activities? If so, I’ll walk you through some interesting places now within Canada.

There are a lot of places and very varieties of styles for you to visit. These places will be a must-see places for you to visit when you are in Canada.

 

  1. Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, the most gorgeous, largest, and the world famous waterfalls, which this destination located in Ontario, Canada. Other than that, this place is also the most easiest to get to. You can stroll up to the edge of the falls  and stand there for free without paying anything. You should take a boat ride to the base of the falls or go  behind the falls to see the water rushing down from above if you want to see them from a certain angle. The falls are divided into 3 parts: the concave Horseshoe Falls, which spans 640 meters from the Canadian to the American shores, is the most spectacular part. On the New York side, the American Falls are about 330 meters across, if you want to get the best views, you should be on the Canadian side. Between the two, there’s a tiny third segment called Bridal Veil Falls. A walkway runs from above the waterfall all the way to the edge of the George on the Canadian side of the falls, which offering breathtaking views. The falls are illuminated in various colors at night. The Table Rock Welcome Centre is located behind the main viewing area on the side of Horseshoe Falls and there’s also a restaurant with a view of the waterfall, as well as stores and “an information and ticket booth where you can buy tickets to the various attractions and tours”(Law, 2020).

2. Whistler: Your Perfect Ski Resort

Whistler is one of the best destinations in Canada for winter vacations, with one of the biggest ski resorts in North America! Skiing snowshoeing, and tobogganing are only a handful of the exciting winter activities to try in this enthralling snowscape. In addition, Whistler, British Columbia, is reliably rated as North America’s best ski resort. The reason that they were ranked as number one is because they are a fantastic resort. The list of superlatives goes on and on: a mile of vertical, two massive snow, Olympic pedigree, a long season, and a village with a vibe to rival anywhere on the planet” (Walker, 2017). At least once, anybody who has ever clicked into a pair of skis or tightened the blinding on a snowboard should pay a visit her. “ If you don’t come this year, you’ll be a year older when you do come” (Walker, 2017). said famous ski filmmaker Warren Miller. If you’re looking for a thrill, Whistler is one of the best choice for you to visit in Canada. The perfect time to visit here is between June-August and December – March.

3. Quebec City: Explore The French Influence

Quebec City is known as North America’s oldest walled city, as well as the most stunning city in Canada. It is also one of the most enriching places to visit in Canada due to its art and culture scenes. Quebec City is a fantastic place to explore whether you’re interested in art, architecture, or nature.You may walk the cobblestoned streets of the Quartier Petit- Champlain, lined with cafes and boutiques, as well as visit the nearby historic convents, churches, and monuments, which are set into a cliff that provides expansive views of the mighty Saint-Lawrence River.The best time to visit here are in June, September – December. There are places I would recommend to visit are:

  • Visit the historic siteslike The Citadel (Arora, 2021)
  • “Relax at the BattleFields Park
  • Walk along the scenic Terrasse Dufferin.
  • Ice Hotel in Winter : Located just 10 minutes from downtown Quebec City, the Hotel du Glace (Ice Hotel).
  • Basilica de Notre-Dame (One of the oldest cathedrals in North America)
  • Get a glimpse inside Le Chateau de Frontenac
  • Montmorency Falls (272-foot cascade of water, it is about one and a half times taller than the mighty Niagara.” (Paskevics , 2018).

4. Banff National Park: A Popular Destination

You might already heard how beautiful of Banff National Park is and how it is one of the top Canada destinations that any traveler should visit, as well as one of the best things to do in Alberta Canada. Anything stunning can be seen here at once: turquoise colored lakes, spectacular glaciers, snowcapped peaks, and mesmerizing landscapes. (Arora, 2021). The best time to visit is between June-August, December-March.

  • Moraine Lake
  • Upper Hot Springs
  • Johnston Canyon
  • Vermilion Lakes
  • Peyto Lake
  • The Bow Valley Parkway (Route A1)” (Beaudin, 2019).

5. Stanley Park: The French Connection

Vancouver is one of Canada’s most famous French cities and a renowned tourist destination. If the red-orange colored tree sin movies have always piques your interest, Stanley Park will be you’re must-see destination in Canada. Stanley Park, set on a peninsula on the northwest side of downtown Vancouver, is one of the city’s most popular tourist destinations, drawing an estimated 8 million tourists per year. This 400-hectare (1,000-acre) haven is known as one of the best urban parks in the country, with beautiful beaches, miles of well-maintained paved and gravel tracks, and an abundance of can’t miss kid-friendly sites including “a pool, water park, miniature railway, and more” (Vancouver, 2021).The recommend time to visit will be around late-March, April, June-October. The recommend activities for you to do are:

  • “Walk through the majestic cedars and firs
  • Indulge in biking or rollerblading
  • Take a ride in the Miniature Train.” (Arora, 2021).

6. Butchart Gardens: A Picture -Perfect Land

Butchard Gardens is one of Canada’s most popular tourist attractions, and it’s the perfect spot to visit with a camera. There’s a lot to see and do here, including an enchanting flower display, enjoyable boat tours, night illuminations, and much more, to make your holiday colorful. All of the flowers and the atmosphere there are amazing, based on my own experience. They have themed the garden according to each region, and I highly recommend you to visit there and don’t forget to bring your camera! The best time to see the blooming flower is between July and August. The activities that you could do are:

  • “Capture the gorgeous flowers around
  • Witness the fireworks show designed by Disney
  • Indulge in ice skating” (Arora, 2021).

7. Capilano Suspension Bridge: Lap of Nature Calls You

 Capilano Suspension Bridge is another place that I would recommend for people who is not afraid of heights to visit. Here you will meet with the gorgeous nature surrounding with all green trees, and the river flow through. This 140-meter long and 70 meter high suspension bridge crosses the river, and a walk through the lush green forest would make you fall in love with this destination. The best month to visit here is in November. What you can do here?

  • Visit Capilano Suspension Bridge and marvel at the towering evergreens.
  • Indulge with the cedar-scented rainforest air
  • Visit the Treetop Adventure, a series of 7 suspended footbridges that have views from 110 feet above the forest floor.
  • “Go excited with the Cliffwalk follows a granite precipice along Capilano River with labyrinth-like series of narrow cantilevered bridges, stairs and platforms and only 16 anchor points in the cliff supporting the structure” (Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, 2021).

8. Old Montreal: Discover An Old -World Charm

If you’re looking for a place to visit in Canada, make Montreal your first choice. Old Montreal’s old-world elegance, spectacular buildings, and horse-drawn carriages pretty much sum up the enthralling feel of Montreal’s oldest area. Historical sites from the 17th century can be found here, displaying the city’s indigenous and colonial history. This is the ideal location for visitors who looking for a relaxing and unique experience. The perfect time to visit here are between March-May,September-November. These are things to do in Montreal:

  • “Explore the underground city
  • Rejuvenate at the Spa Scandinave
  • Take the Old Montreal food tour” (Arora, 2021).

9. Churchill: Seek Tons Of Adventure

If you’re searching for tourist attractions in Canada, this is the way to go. This small town on Hudson Bay is unquestionably one of Canada’s best tourist destinations. Churchills, also known as the polar bear capital of the world, is a great place to visit if you want to get up close or experience with wildlife. It is also a fantastic destination for adventurers, as it offers a variety of underwater experiences. The best time to visit here is around October and November, but if you want to come to visit for specific activities, please look at the recommendation months below. Here are some examples things you can do in Churchill:

  • “Swim or snorkel with Beluga whales (June -September).
  • Explore Fort Prince of Wales
  • Take a Tundra Buggy tour
  • Churchill’s Polar Bear Viewing ( July-Novemeber)
  • The Northern Lights ( High Season February through March).
  • Birding (Mid June – Mid July)” (Portnoy, 2020).

10. Yoho National Park: A Must Visit destination

Yoho National Park, set in the heart if the Canadian Rocky Mountains, is one of the must-see destinations in Canada for nature lovers. Its magnificent Wapta and Takakkaw Falls are perfect for your Canada vacation photos. In addition, Yoho is both a hiker’s paradise and a railway buff’s pleasure and this park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The best time to visit is in mid-May to early October. Here are things to do there:

  • “Enjoy a serene drive up to Takakkaw Falls
  • Stroll along the Emerald Lake
  • Take a bike ride on the Yoho Valley Road” (Arora, 2021).
